AI Management Essentials equips professionals with the knowledge and practical tools needed to manage artificial intelligence responsibly, confidently, and effectively. As AI increasingly shapes how organizations operate, innovate, and make decisions, it also introduces new risks — including unpredictable system behaviour, data quality challenges, ethical concerns, regulatory obligations, and wider societal impacts.
This course adopts a risk‑based approach to AI management, placing anticipation, transparency, and informed decision‑making at the centre of responsible AI adoption. Learners will explore how risk‑based thinking helps organizations identify potential AI‑related events, assess their likelihood and impact, and implement proportionate controls that protect value while enabling innovation.
The course examines key sources of AI risk, including human–AI interactions, model behaviour, data governance, and organizational oversight gaps. It also demonstrates how structured AI management systems and governance frameworks can strengthen accountability, resilience, and trust in AI‑enabled systems.
Through practical scenarios, real‑world examples, and guided activities, participants gain hands‑on experience applying internationally recognized standards, including ISO/IEC 42001 (AI Management Systems) and ISO/IEC 23894 (AI Risk Management). By the end of the course, learners will be better prepared to support ethical, compliant, and sustainable AI use within their organizations.
