Overview

Mastering Lightroom for Nature Photographers - 100 Level (Essential)

What would you give to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Ansel Adams in the darkroom? Watching him wave his hand beneath focused beams of light as a reverse image of Full Moon over Half Dome burned into the paper's silver surface. Each print unique, showcasing the artist's touch both in the field and in the darkroom.

This course focuses on the essential 'other half' of wilderness photography. Imagine experiencing the darkroom magic, but in Lightroom with me as your guide instead of Ansel Adams.

I've spent 15 years as a professional wilderness photographer, with work featured in Time/Life, National Parks, Nature's Best, and National Wildlife.

My journey started with slide film and strict photo club rules. If you’re looking for a barrage of Lightroom presets to oversaturate your photos, look elsewhere. This course is for aspiring photographers who want to master the art of RAW image editing and maintain the simplicity and organization necessary to get back to what you love: taking pictures.

You'll learn:

  • 100-level: The essentials you need to manage your digital workflow efficiently.
  • 200-level: A hands-on demonstration of essential Lightroom tools using my recent Southwest US photos. We focus on practical tools you’ll actually use.

Join us inside the Museum of Art for a transformative learning experience!
