Overview
"Simply Logical – Intelligent Reasoning by Example", authored by Peter Flach and initially released by John Wiley in 1994, originally came either as a standalone book or bundled with a 3.5-inch diskette featuring the Prolog programs detailed within its pages (compatible with various operating systems).
After the copyright to the book reverted to the author in 2007, both the text and the programs have been accessible for free online, with the print version discontinued from John Wiley's offerings.
In 2015, leveraging SWI-Prolog's SWISH platform, the initial contents of the book were transformed into an interactive online experience. This marked the beginning of the Simply Logical open source organization, dedicated to developing and sustaining a collection of interactive, free online educational resources focused on Artificial Intelligence and Logic Programming using Prolog.
