Resumen

Emotion has a substantial influence on the cognitive processes of human beings, including perception, attention, learning, memory, reasoning, and problem-solving; but also in constructing relationships with the social environment.

There is increasing evidence about the cognitive-communicative and linguistic processes that promote social behavior; for example, recognizing emotions in others' language, their association with specific aspects of communication, and understanding that others do not necessarily think and feel as we do.

This emotional intelligence course helps understand how emotional language is processed, giving us clues on how to produce, modulate, and interpret emotional language. This online course falls within the field of cognitive and social neuroscience; that is, the biological origin of processes involving interaction with our fellow beings.
