Resumen

Introducción a Unity para videojuegos 3D

Learn to create 3D video games from scratch with the reference platform. Just 7 courses separate you from becoming a 3D video game designer. Specifically, the 7 courses that are part of this Domestika Basics of Unity, a real-time platform used to create half of the world's video games. With Álvaro Arranz —video game designer and Unity and robotics professor— you'll learn to use Unity from scratch and become familiar with one of the most used programming languages: C#.

You will start in the first course by getting to know and configuring Unity. You will download it and take a tour of its interface, discovering each window within the program, the types of files you can create, and finally, a bit of basic programming.

In the second course, you will dive into the project properties and create your first basic environment. You will configure the gravity of your world, the image quality, define your game's name, its icon, and assign tags to the different elements that make it up.

You will advance in the aesthetic part of your project, exploring the possibilities and potential of the terrain where your game takes place. You will create the terrain, shape it, and add elements such as trees and sky to make it more realistic.

Once you have learned to build the setting where the game takes place, you will focus on the action that happens within it. You will create the character you will play with and some basic actions such as movement, shooting, and collecting items.

Your project will continue to evolve visually in the next course, without sacrificing performance. You will learn to give your project light, placing light and shadow sources and configuring them in different ways in your scene.

What is a game without enemies to defeat? You will bring action to your game by creating enemies with artificial intelligence. You will learn to create spawn points where enemies will generate automatically.

Every game needs an interface that shows the user information about what is happening, and that's exactly what you will build in the last course. You will develop the interface for the game scenes and a main menu with the start button.
