Artificial Ventilation: The Basics

Artificial ventilation is the primary life support for critical patients. It is therefore an essential rescue technique in intensive care, emergency medicine, and anesthesia. However, if poorly adjusted, it can lead to complications and increased mortality.

This MOOC offers particularly innovative educational content based on simulation. EIVASION stands for Innovative Teaching of Artificial Ventilation through Simulation.

Upon completing the EIVASION "the basics" MOOC, learners will have the opportunity to enhance their understanding of patient-ventilator interactions and clinical practice in ventilation with a second MOOC: the EIVASION "advanced level" MOOC on FUN.

All teachers are expert clinicians in the field of artificial ventilation. The scientific committee of the EIVASION MOOC consists of Prof. G. Carteaux, Prof. A. Mekontso Dessap, Dr. L. Piquilloud, and Dr. F. Beloncle.
