To promote the engineering skills required for Digital Factories, the proposed specialization on Intelligent Digital Factories offers learners strong fundamentals of microcontrollers, covering hardware and software architectures, programming, debugging strategies, and hands-on exposure in developing typical industrial applications using a user-friendly microcontroller development board. Learners get an opportunity to explore the EdSim51 simulator, development boards like Arduino UNO, ESP 8266, and ESP 32 with industry examples and integration strategies with simulated GSM and cloud networks.

The captured and processed data are transmitted and stored in the cloud to promote business intelligence.

This IoT component is presented alongside various industrial IoT solutions like sewage treatment plants, the packaging industry, and the processing of dairy products.
