This specialization explores how stadiums are being transformed into smart, connected venues, from digital infrastructure and IoT systems to data driven operations and next generation fan experiences. Across four applied courses, learners trace the evolution of stadium design and management, examine the Santiago Bernabéu as a flagship case study, and explore how technology is reshaping venue operations, commercialization, and urban integration.

The curriculum integrates connectivity, data platforms, sensors, security systems, sustainability frameworks, and AI enabled operations with real world applications in crowd management, fan engagement, energy efficiency, and revenue optimization. Through examples from leading clubs, cities, and technology partners, learners will understand how smart stadiums create value across operations, fan experience, governance, and long term strategy.
