Aperçu
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones, are increasingly utilized in diverse environments, including agriculture, societal, defense, military, marine, and numerous other real-world applications. Their capabilities are enhanced by various payloads and sensors, making tasks such as transporting medical kits feasible.
With the advancement of drone technology, UAVs now integrate machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms with on-board processing capabilities.
These advancements enable precise mapping of natural features, as well as performing reconnaissance and border surveillance.
This course offers insights into the basic design aspects of UAVs, including flapping and rotary wing UAVs, and their performance characteristics. It also explores the varied engineering applications of UAVs through detailed case studies.
Participants will gain experience from real deployments of UAVs in activities such as bridge inspections, heritage structure monitoring, remote water body surveillance, environmental monitoring, and 3D mapping using UAV swarms, among other novel applications.
The course also covers DGCA rules and regulations, innovative payloads, and future engineering applications of UAVs.
