Welcome to the world's first MOOOOO-C on Dairy Production and Management, offered through Coursera by Boston University. This comprehensive eight-week course is designed to equip learners with an in-depth understanding of dairy management, covering critical aspects such as genetics, nutrition, reproduction, animal health, farm economics, and the sustainability of dairy production systems.
Whether you're a newcomer to the dairy industry or a seasoned professional, this course has valuable insights for everyone.
Throughout the course duration, you will engage with four to nine video lectures weekly, supplemented with additional reading materials and a multiple-choice questions quiz to test your understanding. Expect an estimated study time of three to five hours per week.
Learners also have the opportunity to obtain a Course Certificate for 49.00 USD, which can be purchased at any point during the course. It's important to verify your identity before taking the quizzes if you wish to be eligible for the certificate.

Delve into why efficient and sustainable milk production is crucial. Milk is a vital source of over 16 essential nutrients, including protein, vitamins (A, D, B12, etc.), and essential minerals (Calcium, Magnesium, etc.), making it a fundamental part of human nutrition globally.
With most of the world's milk produced from cattle, alongside other dairy animals like water buffaloes and goats, the course also explores the diverse methods of milk production across the top-producing countries, including the United States, India, and the European Union, and the importance of dairy for billions of people worldwide.
This MOOOOO-C is delivered by internationally recognized dairy science professors and includes course lectures translated into Portuguese and Chinese (PDF files available for each course week). We extend our gratitude to Dr.
